Dragonfly (Odonata) species encountered and/or photographed i the mid-west region of USA, mostly in Minnesota, but also Wyoming and Dakotas in the summer of 2012, are presented. The Thunder Bay area in Canada was also visited. Some pictures are from a dragonfly expedition into the North Woods with the Minnesota expert Kurt Mead. Finally I have included photos of a few other butterflies and 'bugs'.
Species documentation has been given priority to photo quality in this survey.
